Diversity Day at the Cannes Film Festival

Since all films aren't chosen as Festival de Cannes official selections, Diversity Day promotes the presence of globally diverse filmmakers telling stories specific to age, gender, physical ability, race, religion and sexual orientation for global audiences at the Cannes Film Festival.

Diversity Day
This three part global industry event focuses on bridging the cultural & socio gaps present at the Festival, with the ultimate goal of promoting the work and presence of diverse filmmakers from across the globe.

Part 1: Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase
6-8 globally diverse short films, selected by an independent screening committee of entertainment industry professionals, are considered official selections and will screen with mini filmmaker
Q & A afterwards. Judging takes place on site and winners are announced at the awards reception.

Part 2: Diversity in Cannes Filmmaker Roundtable
A panel of film professionals will convene to explore strategies to effect change in the global entertainment industry in light of #metoo and #timesup

Part 1A: Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase Women in Formation spotlighting female filmmakers globally. As with the general showcase, 8 short films are considered official selections and in competition and will screen with a mini filmmaker Q & A afterwards. Judging takes place on site and winners are announced at the awards reception immediately following screening

Part 3: Awards networking reception
Filmmakers will be celebrated for their accomplishments and awards granted for excellence in film.
