Il a été biberonné à la Soul américaine avant de se nourrir de Chanson française. Garçon Velours est né de la volonté du frontman de Zedmanest (indie-rock) de chanter en français. Avec sa profonde voix de velours, il revisite les sonorités vintage de manière élégante. Dans ses textes, il parle d'amour sans faire de chansons d'amour; ou encore de mélancolie sans faire de chansons déprimantes.
