Callan Wink presents his short story collection "Dog Run Moon" (Courir au clair de lune avec un chien volé, Albin Michel 2017) which was shortlisted for the 2017 Dylan Thomas Prize. His tales recount the lives of people in the American West.
The New York Times, reviewing the book, wrote, "“[An] excellent first book of stories...one of the great things about Dog Run Moon is how resilient and funny [the characters] are. They’re at the end of their ropes, but they can still howl about the joy and pain each day brings, as if the young Levon Helm were singing their stories. . . This is Thomas McGuane territory, and also that of writers like Joy Williams and Jim Harrison."
Indeed, both McGuane and Harrison have themselves heralded Callan's writing. The Library is thrilled to welcome him!
► La rencontre, animée par Grant Rosenberg, sera en anglais uniquement.
