Another Expat Theatre Night (French play, English subtitles) to look forward to, hosted by Theatre in Paris!
*Drinks and a play,* same idea, different show. And as always, a drink included with your ticket! Just like last time, look forward to some great prize *giveaways*!
When: Monday April 23, 2018
Show: Cyrano de Bergerac, with English subtitles
Where: Théâtre Ranelagh, 75016 Paris
About the show:
In April, we're bringing our Expat theatrebuff friends to see French classic Cyrano de Bergerac, playing at the historically ornate Théâtre Le Ranelagh. This classic French play depicts the most famous love triangle in history: Cyrano de Bergerac, Christian, and Roxane. Our swashbuckling hero, Cyrano, complete with his famously-prominent nose, falls madly in love with his (distant) cousin, Roxane, only to find out that she loves another. Christian, a headstrong young soldier, as handsome as Cyrano is ugly, as dim-witted as Cyrano is sharp, has also fallen in love with Roxane. Cyrano will attempt to use both poetic words and skilled sword-fighting to win over her heart, will he succeed?
The plan:
We will meet at the Théâtre le Ranelagh at 6:30pm to share drinks in the theatre's own bar before the show. Expat Night guests will have the choice of a glass of champagne or wine included with their ticket, and during the drinks look forward to mingling with fellow expats, and even a chance to win some prize giveaways. Upon arrival, simply take the stairs to your right to head down to join the group. Showtime is at 8:30pm, we will all head to our balcony seats together shortly before Cyrano de Bergerac begins!
If you've joined a previous Expat Theatre Night, can't wait to see you again!
