In 1893, Nancy Green, an African-American woman whose life began in slavery in Montgomery Co. Ky, became the iconic face of Aunt Jemima. She represented the pancake mix at the Chicago World's Fair. She is portrayed by Debra Faulk in this Kentucky Humanities Council Chautauqua performance. Free and open to the public.
