Korea On / Off + Beau et discret - Cité Internationale Des Arts

Nous sommes heureux de vous convier au vernissage de Korea On / Off et Beau et discret, deux expositions présentées simultanément dans la Galerie de la Cité internationale des arts, résidence d'artistes à Paris. Elles sont toutes deux issues de la participation du collectif de photographes Tendance Floue à l’ Année France-Corée 2015-2016 et de leur partenariat avec le Musée de la photographie GoEun de Busan. A cette occasion, Art Book Magazine publie un eBook trilingue (français-coréen-anglais).

Korea On / Off :
Nouvelle œuvre collective de Tendance Floue créée à l’occasion de l’Année France-Corée, cette exposition est constituée d’un ensemble choral de douze récits photographiques et/ou vidéo réalisé sur deux ans et couvrant une grande partie du territoire coréen. Inventant une nouvelle formule de narration collective, ce projet inédit s’articule autour des quelques lignes de force qui font la spécificité du collectif : poésie et engagement, individualités et partage, affirmations et déséquilibres. Les symboles du Yi-King et du Ying/Yang, composantes du drapeau national de la République de Corée, sont au cœur du concept du projet.

Beau et discret :
Tendance Floue invite le Musée GoEun de la photographie de Busan à présenter pour la première fois en Europe une partie de ses collections.
Intitulée Beau et discret (traduction littérale du nom du musée), cette exposition donne un coup de projecteur inédit sur Busan Observation, programme décennal de résidences photographiques organisé par le musée. Chaque année, il offre une carte blanche à un photographe coréen pour produire sur la ville de Busan un corpus d’œuvres originales qui questionnent les enjeux historiques et géographiques de la ville. Avec la participation des photographes HongGoo Kang, KwangHo Choi, GapChul Lee, YongSuk Kang et ChuHa Chung.

Korea On / Off :
The new collective body of work created for the France-Korea Year is composed of a choral ensemble of twelve photo and video narratives. It has been produced during a period of two years and is covering a wide range of the Korean territory. Inventing a new kind of collective recital that follows on from previous projects, Korea On / Off focuses on the Tendance Floue collective’s guiding principles: poetry and commitment, individuality and sharing, affirmation and imbalance. The symbols of the I Ching and Yin-Yang, components of the national flag of the Republic of Korea, are at the heart of the project concept.

Beau et discret :
Tendance Floue invites the GoEun Museum of Photography of Busan to show part of its collections for the first time in Europe. Entitled “Beau et discret” (a literal translation of the name of the museum), the exhibition is an original take on Busan Observation, the ten-year programme of photographic residencies organized by the museum. Each year it gives carte blanche to a Korean photographer to produce a body of original work on the city of Busan, examining and documenting historic and geographic issues in the city. The exhibition in Paris presents a choice of works by the photographers HongGoo Kang, KwangHo Choi, GapChul Lee, YongSuk Kang and ChuHa Chung.
