Musicien expérimental originaire de Memphis, Dywane Thomas Jr., plus connu sous son pseudo MonoNeon, fait tourner les têtes depuis longtemps. Adulé par des bassistes de légende comme Marcus Miller ou Flea, MonoNeon est l'un des derniers musiciens à avoir travaillé avec Prince, en plus d'avoir mené une carrière aux côtés d'artistes exceptionnels comme Mac Miller, Ne-Yo, Pete Rock, Ghost-Note ou encore Nas. Facile à reconnaître par son accoutrement pour le moins bariolé, son humour à part et sa technique de jeu unique (il est droitier mais joue à l'envers sur sa basse), MonoNeon s'est notamment fait une notoriété sur les réseaux sociaux, où il poste de manière prolifique ses créations et démontre la virtuosité de son jeu.
