An English stand-up comedy showcase featuring the Franglais-fluent Paul Taylor, a British comedian based in France, known for the Canal+ series
What The F*** France and his bilingual stand-up tours. His comedy draws on life between Britain and France, particularly linguistic misunderstandings and cultural mix-ups.
Also featuring Polina de la Noix, a radio host, singer, and Russian-born Renaissance woman who's recently pivoted her eclectic style and creative talents to stand-up. She's ballsy and unapologetically herself, with an offbeat perspective and the nerve to bring her weirdest ideas to the stage.
One more comedian will be announced soon.

About English Stand-Up Comedy Club
English Stand-Up Comedy Club brings monthly shows to Le Spotlight Comedy Club in Lille, hosted by English comedian Neil Sinclair.
Every show presents a fresh and diverse line-up with the biggest names in comedy and local rising stars. You'll have a chance to see acclaimed performers and discover up-and-coming comics rolling out original material they've been practicing in the bathroom mirror. The line-up changes every show, with new voices, sharp jokes, and unique perspectives.
Life between languages and cultures can be exciting, bewildering, frustrating, and downright funny. Through stand-up, we get to share these stories in a humorous light. Once a month, we unglue our faces from our screens and get together as a community of comedy fans and English speakers of all levels for one hour of laughs and a break from the routine.
Our audience is a wonderfully mixed bunch of locals, expats, students, travellers, devoted comedy fans, and complete newcomers. English may be your first, second, or third language and you'll feel welcome!
Come to stand-up comedy night with a group of friends or show up solo. You're invited to arrive alone and we encourage mingling before and after shows–you can always lean on the bar if you need a bit of liquid courage to warm the gills.
We value inclusivity and diversity and we're LGBTQIA+ friendly. We welcome people of different backgrounds and levels of English.
- Ages: Best suited to adults. Some material may include strong language or adult themes, so use your judgement before bringing younger comedy fans. Subject to venue rules
- Line-up: Three different comedians at every show. Performers are announced on Facebook, Instagram, and the English Stand-Up Comedy Club newsletter
Note about the 'Planche apéritive à partager' that can be purchased in addition to tickets:
They aren't joking when they say this charcuterie platter serves 2 people for a full meal, or 4 people as an appetizer. A reservation is required, it cannot be ordered on-site. You must arrive in advance to enjoy the platter, the dining area is separate from the theatre and food is prohibited in the theatre space.
