KULEEANGEE - La Bulle Café

Né dans la file d'attente du célèbre night-club queer Dalston Superstore, KuleeAngee est le fruit d'une rencontre sous l'influence de la tequila entre Keshav Kanabar, originaire de
Glasgow, et Duncan Grant, d'Édimbourg. Les deux hommes s'étaient déjà croisés par
l'intermédiaire d'amis communs avant de se retrouver dans le même groupe en tant que
musiciens de session, avec un concert prévu le jour même où le Royaume-Uni est entré en confinement. À ce moment-là, ils étaient déjà de bons amis, mais il a fallu attendre cette nuit fatidique en ville pour qu'ils unissent leurs forces créatives. En l'espace de quelques
semaines d'écriture commune, ces âmes surs ont donné naissance à Television - un single tiré de leur superbe premier EP de 2025, Is It Awryt - un morceau sensuel et
grinçant qui évoque une agitation collective exacerbée par notre addiction aux réseaux
sociaux. Cet EP les a propulsés au rang de groupe incontournable, leur valant un soutien massif de la part de Sian Eleri sur BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens, Deb Grant, Craig Charles et Nick Grimshaw sur BBC 6 Music, ainsi que dans la rubrique X-Posure Hot One de
Radio X, animée par John Kennedy et Stephanie Cheape sur BBC Intro Scotland. Ils ont
également été soutenus par les rubriques New In Alternative sur Apple Music et Fresh Finds sur Spotify, et ont fait l'objet d'articles dans The Scotsman, Dork et DIY, tout en
figurant dans le classement NME 100 pour 2026.

Formed in the queue for the notorious queer nightclub Dalston Superstore, KuleeAngee is the tequila-influenced brainchild of Glasgow-born Keshav Kanabar and Edinburgh's Duncan Grant. The pair had crossed paths through mutual friends before ending up in the same
band as session musicians, with a gig scheduled for the day the UK went into lockdown. By then, they were already firm friends, but it took until that fateful night on the town for them to join creative forces. Within a few weeks of writing together these kindred spirits had come up with Television - a single from their superb 2025 debut EP 'Is It Awryt' - a squelchy,
sexy track that speaks to a collective restlessness exacerbated by our social media
addictions. The EP propelled them to definitive one to watch status, receiving a groundswell of support from Sian Eleri on BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens, Deb Grant, Craig
Charles and Nick Grimshaw on BBC 6 Music, Radio X X-Posure Hot One from John
Kennedy and Stephanie Cheape on BBC Intro Scotland. They also received support
in New In Alternative on Apple Music and Fresh Findson Spotify, and were profiled
by The Scotsman, Dork, DIY and included in the NME 100 for 2026.
