Day 3: Excursion to Monaco (Saturday, 11 March 2017)
After breakfast, we’ll head out with our English speaking guide to explore the ‘must see’ Monaco and Monte Carlo – home to the rich and famous! Our local tour guide will introduce us to the charming sights of Monte Carlo (the “new town”) and Monaco (the Old Town). View the Palace of the ruling Grimaldi family and the cathedral where the late Princess Grace and Prince Rainier were married. In the afternoon, you have ample time to explore Monaco on your own. Later, we’ll travel back to San Remo.

Today, we’ll meet our local tour guide and leave Italy for the French Riviera. First we’ll make our way to Nice – the capital of the French Riviera. We’ll stroll down the Promenade des Anglais, visit the local market and the nearby Roman ruins, and meander through the narrow streets of the Old Town. After lunch and free time to explore, we take the coast road to Cannes – the pearl of the French Riviera, home every year to the famous Cannes Film Festival where you will enjoy a guided walk. In the late afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Cannes on your own. Make sure to try out the region’s produce like lavender honey, aioli (garlic mayonnaise) and mouth-watering rosé wine.
