Comment photographier la clandestinité ? Comment représenter un engagement qui, par définition, cherche à échapper au regard ? Et que nous disent aujourd’hui ces images rares, fragmentaires, parfois silencieuses, sur la Résistance dans l’Ain ?
L’exposition propose d’aborder la Résistance non seulement comme un événement historique, mais comme une expérience photographique singulière. À travers les collections départementales, elle interroge la manière dont la photographie documente, construit, masque ou transforme la mémoire résistante. Les absences occupent également une place importante. Certains épisodes, certains gestes ou certaines violences n’ont laissé aucune image. Ces silences photographiques font pleinement partie de l’histoire racontée.
En plaçant la photographie au cœur du propos, cette exposition souhaite déplacer le regard porté sur la Résistance. Elle ne montre pas seulement des événements passés ; elle interroge notre manière contemporaine de regarder, d’interpréter et de transmettre ces images.
