DANNY MELLIN (21h30)
(Indie rock - Oxford, UK)
Straight off the back of a sold-out UK headline tour in the Spring, and the release of his latest single ‘Ordinary Day (Ordinary Town)’, Danny Mellin is hitting the road once again this autumn and winter with a new tour, including his first show in Paris supporting The Sherlocks.
With numbers growing on Tik Tok and strong BBC Intro support via interviews and sessions, he's coming into this single stronger than ever. In past years Danny has appeared at Truck Festival and on various BBC introducing shows.
Described by Chalk Pit Records as having “solidified his own blend of guitar focused indie”, and by Dave Gilyeat of BBC Introducing as having “the immediacy of early Oasis that people can immediately chime with”, Danny’s sound is high in its youthful energy and anthemic choruses, winning over crowds with his observational, self-aware lyricism and hooky guitar riffs to create a euphoric live act.
